Why It Matters for Irish Buyers

Whether you’re a student in Dublin, a parent in Galway, or a professional working remotely in Cork, Samsung's A9 tablets are a great option for those seeking budget-friendly Android tablets in Ireland.

Let’s break it down in more detail⁣

1.   Display & Design: Bigger and Smoother on the A9 Plus

If you like Netflix, YouTube, or gaming, the Galaxy Tab A9 Plus has an 11-inch screen with a faster 90Hz refresh rate—translating into smoother visuals than the 8.7-inch 60 Hz screen of the base A9.

Tab A9 Plus is ideal for:

  • Watching movies or sports

  • Students who do split-screen multitasking

  • Creative consumers who use sketch or reading apps

2.   Performance: Snapdragon beats MediaTek

The A9 Plus has a Snapdragon 695 processor, which is a shade faster and more power-efficient than the Helio G99 on the A9. If you do a lot of app usage like Zoom, Google Docs, or light gaming, the Plus variant will be more responsive.

Improved for students and multitaskers

5G-capable (perfect for rural Irish areas with poor broadband)

3.   Battery Life: More Power in the A9 Plus

Irish users on the go will appreciate the larger 7,040 mAh battery in the A9 Plus. That means longer usage between charges—whether you’re commuting on the Luas or spending the day on campus.

The A9 still holds up well for light users, thanks to its smaller screen and efficient chipset.

4.   Audio & Media: Quad Speakers with Dolby Atmos

For audiophiles, the A9 Plus blows the A9 out of the water in terms of sound. It has four speakers and Dolby Atmos and produces a much more immersive sound—ideal for music, video, or even calls.

5.   Cameras: Improved Selfie Camera on A9 Plus

Both the tablets feature a standard 8MP rear camera, but the A9 Plus features a 5MP front camera, while its standard version only comes with 2MP. That's a significant gap while conducting video calls via Microsoft Teams or Google Meet—especially in a business or academic setup.
