About this phone
Product details
This is a Premium-grade iPhone 17 256GB: open-box, never used, with 100% battery health. It is unlocked to every Irish network and covered by our 18-month Fone4U warranty. Use the condition selector above to choose a grade. Availability changes, so the grades shown are what is in stock today.
iPhone 17 design, display, and colour options
The 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR display uses ProMotion for smooth 120Hz scrolling, so everyday browsing and gaming feel fluid rather than stepped. At 177g, the iPhone 17 sits comfortably in hand, and this listing is available in Lavender, Sage, Mist Blue, White, or Black, depending on stock. Apple originally rated the phone IP68 for dust and water resistance, though as with any refurbished phone, we cannot guarantee the seal remains intact after refurbishing.
Performance, camera, and battery on this refurbished iPhone 17
Apple's A19 chip keeps apps opening quickly and multitasking smooth, even with several demanding apps open at once. The dual 48MP Fusion camera system pairs a 48MP Main lens with a 48MP Ultra Wide lens for .5x, 1x, and 2x optical-quality zoom, while the 18MP Center Stage front camera keeps video calls sharp. A 3,692mAh battery supports fast charging over USB-C, plus MagSafe and Qi wireless charging.
Tested and original
Every iPhone that is not factory-sealed is tested by our engineers in our Irish workshops before it is graded. The screen, battery, and cameras are the phone's own original parts. If a part ever needs replacing, we only fit a genuine one, so you won't see an "Unknown Part" message in Settings.
Choosing a grade

Good shows honest signs of use, with the same performance and 85%+ battery health. Every grade is unlocked, fully tested, and carries the same 18-month warranty.

Why it matters
Original parts vs cheap copies
Every part in this phone is its own original part. Nothing has been swapped for a cheap copy. Here’s why that matters.
Original partCheap copy part
Screen
True colours, full brightness and True Tone, with smooth, precise touch
Duller colours, lower brightness and often no True Tone. Touch can lag or miss
Battery
Full rated capacity, safety-tested, and Battery Health reads correctly
Often less real capacity, can run hot or swell, and Battery Health may show “Unknown” or “Service”
Cameras
Sharp focus, accurate colour, and Night mode and stabilisation work as designed
Softer photos, slow focus, and some camera features can stop working
Face ID & Touch ID
Works securely, exactly as the manufacturer intended
Can stop working completely, and copy parts can’t bring it back
Messages on your phone
No “Unknown Part” or “Non-genuine” warnings in Settings
iPhone can show an “Unknown Part” message that stays in Settings
Water & dust seals
Precise original fit and seals
Looser fit and weaker seals, so more likely to fail early
Resale value
Keeps its full trade-in and resale value
Worth less when you sell or trade it in, and some shops refuse it
Every Fone4U phone is tested in Ireland and covered by our warranty. If a part ever needs replacing, we only fit a genuine one.
